The have reshaped their roster in many ways this offseason. One thing that hasn't happened, though, is a De'Von Achane trade. It seemed like the kind of thing that could be coming, and there have been all sorts of rumors involving Achane's name. But at this point, Achane hasn't been dealt, and it may not be coming, either. "Talking to Dolphins people throughout this offseason, what I've been told is that the team views Achane, centerAaron Brewerand linebackerJordyn Brooks, as foundational players and candidates for extensionsrather than trades," Graziano wrote in a new article on Tuesday. "Miami is focused on the future, for sure, but new coach Jeff Hafley and new GM Jon-Eric Sullivan aren Trevor Ariza Jersey 't interested in just white-flagging their first season by stripping things all the way down to the studs. Also, they need some players to build around, and they have identified Achane as one worth keeping long term." There aren't a ton of teams that view the RB position like this, but Miami clearly feels strongly about Achane. The offer that could change this The Dolphins still always could turn around and trade Achane, if they were to receive a strong enough offer. "I was told at the combine that the Dolphins viewed Waddle as a part of their future as well, so the fact that he got traded might lead you to take this with a grain of salt," Graziano writes. "All I'll say on that is if a team offered a first-round pick for Achane, as the did for Waddle, the Dolphins' opinion of the standout running back as part of their future might have wavered a bit." The reality, though, is that such a deal is unlikely to materialize. "Teams aren't offering first-round picks for running backs that they'd then need to pay big money to keep," Graziano writes.
